GIANTX bench Redgar , Famsii to step in
UCAM Esports Club 's Ramses "Famsii" Valentino Erasmus Koivukangas will be his replacement for the foreseeable future.
The former Gambit Esports in-game leader led his team to stellar achievements in 2021 by winning Masters: BerLIN and taking second at Champions 2021. After the squad disbanded in 2022, Redgar went to Team Liquid ahead of the EMEA Partnership League. The Liquid roster participated in all international events during 2023, with a top-six finish in Masters: Tokyo as their best achievement for the year. Redgar moved to GIANTX ahead of the 2024 season.
GIANTX 's season in 2023 culminated in a Champions appearance, where they exited the group stage with a 1-2 record. Their 2024 endeavor has been lackluster, having made an early exit in EMEA Kickoff and winning only a single match in Stage 1. GIANTX are in dire straits for playoffs, but their two victories in Stage 2 have given them a footing.
UCAM Esports picked up Famsii as their main duelist in 2023. The roster made their impact as a powerhouse in VCL Spain, finishing third in both splits. UCAM have maintained their momentum from last year as they are currently in playoffs.
GIANTX need to win their remaining games for a chance at playoffs. Their first obstacle to overcome is Team Heretics on July 3.
GIANTX are now:
- Ramses "Famsii" Valentino Erasmus Koivukangas
- Semyon " Purp0 " Borchev
- Adolfo "Fit1nho" Gallego
- Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas
- Kirill "Cloud" Nehozhin
- Daniil "pipsoN" Mesheryakov (Head coach)
