Corrode and Bind reportedly set to replace Ascent and Split in VALORANT map pool
Corrode and Bind are reportedly set to return to VALORANT's active map rotation during the sixth act of the 2026 season, replacing Ascent and Split.
The information was shared by VALORANT insider valohabercisi on X and has not been officially confirmed by Riot Games.
Ascent could leave after five months
Ascent returned to the active map pool on April 28 with patch 12.08, replacing Bind.
According to the report, the upcoming rotation would reverse that change, returning Bind while removing Ascent once again.
Split could also leave the rotation after nearly a year.
The map returned alongside Pearl during patch 11.08 on October 14, 2025, when Lotus and Ascent were removed.
Potential implications for competitive play
The reported rotation would require teams to adjust their map pools and strategies once the changes reach competitive play.
However, Riot has not confirmed the changes or their implementation in official tournaments.
The information remains an unconfirmed report pending an announcement from the developer.
