G2 Esports secured a place in the VALORANT Champions 2026 upper-bracket semifinals after sweeping 100 Thieves 2–0 in Shanghai.

G2 dominated Abyss 13–5 before securing a closer 13–11 victory on Ascent, extending their tournament run and sending their North American rivals into the lower bracket.

G2 opened their own map pick with a commanding performance, building an 8–4 halftime advantage before winning five of the next six rounds to close Abyss 13–5.

Nathan "leaf" Orf led the opening map with 19 kills and 297 ACS, while trent contributed 18 kills and 254 ACS.

100 Thieves struggled to match G2's consistency, despite vora finishing as their leading performer on the opener.

Ascent seals the victory

The second map was considerably closer.

100 Thieves selected Ascent and remained competitive throughout the game, reaching an 11–11 scoreline before G2 claimed the final two rounds to secure the sweep.

Asuna led 100 Thieves across the series with 36 kills and 258 ACS, but the defeat sent his team into the lower bracket.

G2 advance to face Team Vitality in the upper semifinals, while 100 Thieves must defeat Nongshim RedForce to remain in contention.
