NRG reportedly reaches three-year extension agreement with bonkar

NRG has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with head coach Malcolm " bonkar " Rench over a three-year contract extension.

According to Sheep Esports, both sides have agreed to continue working together, although a new contract has not yet been officially signed.

bonkar originally joined NRG ahead of the 2025 season after previously coaching Oxygen Esports in North American Challengers.

He was briefly moved to inactive status following Kickoff before later returning to the team.

Under bonkar , NRG finished second at VCT Americas Stage 2 in 2025 before going on to win VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris .

The victory marked the organization's first VALORANT world championship.

According to Riot's contract database, Ethan , mada , and Keiko are already contracted through the end of 2027.

The current deals for skuba and brawk are set to expire this year.

NRG will begin its VALORANT Champions 2026 title defense against Nongshim RedForce on September 25 in Shanghai.
