FaZe Clan reportedly considering VALORANT return with Brazilian roster

FaZe Clan is reportedly considering a return to professional VALORANT with a Brazilian roster ahead of the introduction of the new open VCT system in 2027.

According to a report from Lion Esports, the organization intends to take advantage of Riot Games' expanded pathway for non-partnered teams and is exploring the possibility of building a lineup composed of Brazilian players.

Specific player targets, coaching staff, and a timeline for the potential roster announcement have not yet been determined.

FaZe could return after three-year absence

FaZe previously competed in VALORANT from 2020 until 2023.

The organization achieved its best result in 2021 when it finished second at Champions Tour North America Stage 1: Masters, losing to Sentinels in the Grand Final.

FaZe later competed in the North American Challengers League during the 2023 season but failed to qualify for Ascension.

The organization subsequently disbanded its men's roster in July 2023 before also parting ways with its Game Changers lineup later that year.

A potential comeback was previously discussed in September 2024 when FaZe partner Kaysan spoke about efforts to form another roster, although the project never reached professional competition.

Riot's revised VCT structure for 2027 will create a more direct route into top-level competition for open teams.

Non-partnered organizations will be able to qualify for major VCT events throughout the season and can receive as much as $1.1 million in fixed payments if they qualify for every eligible tournament, excluding prize money.
