Paper Rex eliminated along with T1 in VCT Pacific Stage 2 playoffs

VARREL kept their VCT 2026: Pacific Stage 2 campaign alive with a 2:1 victory over Paper Rex in the lower bracket.

After taking Lotus, VARREL were pushed into overtime on Split before Paper Rex forced a decider. VARREL recovered on Sunset to close the series and eliminate PRX from the tournament.

VARREL opened the series on Paper Rex 's pick of Lotus and established a 7:5 lead in the first half.

They then conceded only one round after the side switch, closing the map 13:6.

Split was much tighter. The teams were level 6:6 at halftime and remained tied 12:12 after regulation before Paper Rex edged overtime 15:13.

Sunset decided the series.

The teams again entered halftime tied 6:6, but VARREL found the stronger finish and won seven of the next 11 rounds to secure a 13:10 victory.

Foxy9 leads VARREL

Jae-sung "Foxy9" Jung was named MVP of the series after finishing with 267 ACS.

The victory sends VARREL into the next lower-bracket round, where they will face T1 on September 4.

T1 advanced through the lower bracket of VCT 2026: Pacific Stage 2 after defeating Gen.G Esports 2:0.

T1 controlled Lotus before completing a comeback on Split, eliminating Gen.G and moving one step closer to the final stages of the tournament.

T1 took a narrow 7:5 advantage into halftime on Lotus.

After switching sides, they completely shut Gen.G down and won all six remaining rounds to close the map 13:5.

Gen.G responded strongly on Split and built an 8:4 halftime lead.

T1 refused to let the series reach a third map. They won nine of the next 12 rounds after the side switch, completing the comeback and taking Split 13:11.
