Unknown individuals broke into the residence of 2GAME Esports while the team was in the US to participate in VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2. As a result of the incident, personal belongings of the team members were stolen.
At the time of the break-in, none of the team members were inside. Representatives from 2GAME Esports have reported that everyone is safe and unharmed. The organization has already contacted local law enforcement and is taking necessary measures. Information regarding the value of the stolen items and other details of the incident has not been disclosed.
Despite the incident, the match against Sentinels will not be postponed. The match is scheduled to take place on August 20 at 23:00 CEST, as originally planned.
The teams will compete in the first round of the lower bracket Play-In. Previously, 2GAME Esports lost to FURIA with a score of 1:2, and Sentinels were defeated by ENVY with a score of 0:2. The loser of the upcoming series will exit VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2, while the winner will continue to fight for a spot in the main playoff stage.
2GAME Esports secured a place in the tournament after winning the VALORANT Challengers 2026 Americas: Last Chance Qualifier. VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2 runs from July 16 to September 7. Participants are competing for $250,000 and two direct slots at VALORANT Champions 2026.
