Lakia Returns to Gen.G Esports

Gen.G Esports has officially announced the return of Kim “Lakia” Jongmin. The player joined the team as the sixth member, a year after his previous departure. This was revealed in a post on the organization's official profile.

Lakia first made a name for himself in 2021 when he secured 3rd place with NUTURN Gaming at the first international tournament, Masters Reykjavík 2021. In the following years, he played for leading Korean teams, including DRX , IGZIST , and DAMWON Gaming , and in 2023, he joined Gen.G Esports . With Gen.G, Lakia achieved second place at Masters Madrid 2024 and first place at Masters Shanghai 2024.

The next match for Gen.G Esports will take place on August 8 as part of VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2. The team's opponent will be Nongshim RedForce , and the match will be held in a Bo3 format during the Opening Matches of Group Alpha.
