Rumor: Gentle Mates Reach Agreement with Veqaj

Gentle Mates has reached a verbal agreement with duelist Sylvain “Veqaj” Patten. The player is expected to join the roster ahead of the EMEA region qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025. This information was shared by the Sheep Esports portal.

Veqaj previously played for Valiant . His achievements include reaching the playoffs of the VALORANT Challengers and earning an MVP award for his performance in the Spotlight Series EMEA 2024. In 2025, he reached the finals with Valiant , where he showcased outstanding form and became one of the key players of the tournament.

At the time of publication, it is unknown who Veqaj will replace. During the group stage of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1, Gentle Mates finished with a final score of 1–4, thus exiting the tournament.
