XLG Esports defeated JD Gaming - Results VCT 2025: China Stage 1

The regular season in the Chinese region continues, and very soon the group stage will come to an end and the playoffs will begin. Today, in the second match of the day, XLG Esports faced off against JD Gaming , and below we’ll tell you how that battle ended.

Easy win for XLG Esports
Heading into the match, XLG Esports were considered the favorites - and they managed to prove that status, although not without resistance. On the first map, Lotus, the team justified their pick and secured a convincing 13:6 victory. The second map, Icebox, turned out to be much more intense, with both teams constantly exchanging rounds. In the end, JD Gaming managed to edge out a hard-fought 13:11 win. The decider was played on Fracture, where XLG Esports finally took full control and closed out the series with another 13:6 victory.

As a result, XLG Esports secured their fourth win in the group stage and booked their spot in the playoffs. JD Gaming , on the other hand, lost their chance to advance to the next stage.

VCT 2025: China Stage 1 is taking place from March 13 to May 4 in a LAN format at the VCT CN Arena in Shanghai. Twelve partnered teams from VCT China are competing for three slots at Masters Toronto, as well as valuable China Points needed to qualify for the upcoming World Championship.
