When and how much RR is returned:
If your current rank is lower or the same as it was at the time of the match with the cheater — you receive a full refund of RR lost in that game.
If your rank has increased, the refund amount decreases according to the formula:
Compensation = Loss × (0.5)^n, where n is the number of “major” ranks between your current rank and the one during the match. Example: You lost 20 RR, but advanced 3 "major" ranks higher — the compensation will be: 21 × (0.5)^2 = 5.25 RR.
A "major" rank is the primary level of a rank, without considering the number within it. For example, Silver 1 and Silver 3 are the same "major" rank, as both ranks fall within Silver. Moving from Silver to GOLD counts as a promotion to a “major” rank, which automatically reduces the refund of lost ranked points. If you imagine a scenario where you lost to a cheater, losing 18 RR, and then advanced to the next rank, following the formula, you would receive: 18 × (0.5)^1 = 9 RR
Compensation limits:
Maximum per match — 50 RR.
Maximum per week — 250 RR.
Exceeding the limit = 0 RR until the start of the next period.
Additional conditions:
Negative calculations (for example, if the formula results in less than zero) are not penalized — you simply won't receive compensation, but you won't lose anything either.
Compensation automatically resets if you exceed the weekly limit.
