Riot Games suspends Global Esports head coach from the Valorant competitive scene

An unexpected announcement has shaken the Valorant Pacific region today. Riot Games, through their official social media channels, revealed that they are suspending the head coach of Global Esports VCT team — Preston "Juv3nile" Dornon from all competitive activities for 12 months, starting April 4.

Details of the Suspension
A statement was posted this morning on VCT Pacific's official social media, addressing the community and all VCT teams. It stated that due to a violation of the Global Code of Conduct, Preston "Juv3nile" Dornon will be suspended from all competitions for 12 months. After this period, he will be required to complete specialized training focused on behavior, respect, and professionalism.

Riot Games recently received information regarding a potential violation of the Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct involving Preston "Juv3nile" Dornon and launched an investigation. After a thorough review, Riot concluded that Juv3nile will be suspended from all Riot-sanctioned events for 12 months starting today, April 4, 2025. Upon completion of the suspension, he will be required to undergo behavior-focused training. A detailed disciplinary ruling will be published in the Rulings section of competitiveops.riotgames.com in due course.

Community Reactions and Organizational Statement
While the exact details of the situation have not yet been disclosed, some commenters speculated that the suspension may be related to inappropriate behavior or harassment via social media involving Juv3nile.

Global Esports has expressed full support for Riot's decision, releasing a statement that emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for misconduct in esports.

We fully respect and support Riot’s decision. At Global Esports , we believe that accountability and integrity are non-negotiable values. Regardless of the challenges or hardships, all coaches, staff, and players must uphold the highest standards of conduct and professionalism both in and out of the game. We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment across all aspects of our organization and the VALORANT Champions Tour."

Juv3nile has yet to comment on the situation. For now, we can only wait for further official statements from Riot or Global Esports . Stay tuned to our portal for more updates on this developing story.
