
Gen.G Esports Elevates Ash from Academy to Main Team
Gen.G Esports has officially announced the promotion of Ha "Ash" Hyun-cheol to the main roster. The player will replace Chae "Yoman" Young-mun, with whom the organization recently terminated the contract. The information was shared on the Gen.G social media.
Before joining the academy roster, Ash was part of LFG Portal, where he won Challengers Korea 2024: Split 1. Before Challengers Korea 2024: Split 2, he transferred to FearX , which later finished last in the event and placed 13-16th in the third split. Despite two unsuccessful tournaments, Ash became a player for Gen.G Global Academy in January of this year.
The updated Gen.G roster will make its debut on March 24 in a match against BOOM Esports as part of VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1, which will run from March 22 to May 11. The tournament will feature three slots for VCT 2025: Masters Toronto and Pacific points required for VALORANT Champions 2025 qualification.
