Riot Games Introduces Waylay – the New Duelist in VALORANT

At the opening ceremony of the final day of the VCT 2025: Masters Bangkok, Riot Games introduced a new agent in VALORANT — Waylay. She became the 27th character in the game and the 7th duelist.

Waylay was officially unveiled on March 2, 2025, and became the first agent from Thailand. She possesses high mobility and abilities related to light manipulation. Her skills allow her to move quickly across the map, using mechanics reminiscent of teleportation and dashes. This makes her one of the most dynamic duelists in the game.

New Agent's Abilities:
C – Saturate

INSTANTLY throws a light cluster that explodes upon contacting the ground, SLOWING opponents, restricting their movement and attack speed.​

Q – Light Speed

EQUIPS and ACTIVATES the ability to perform two forward dashes. ALTERNATE FIRE allows for a single dash, with only the first dash capable of being directed upward.​

E – Refract

INSTANTLY creates a light beacon on the ground. REACTIVATION allows for a swift return to it with invulnerability.​

X – Convergent Paths

EQUIPS and ACTIVATES the ability to project a beam of light that expands. After a brief delay, the agent gains a significant speed boost, and the beam slows other players within the area.

Waylay debuts in VALORANT on March 4, 2025, with the start of Season 25: ACT II. This update will also bring significant changes: Bind and Abyss will be replaced in the map rotation by Icebox and Ascent, and a rollback system will be introduced in the ranked mode. Players can also look forward to a new battle pass.
