The next map rotation in Valorant will occur with the release of patch 10.4

The next map rotation in Valorant will take place with the release of patch 10.4, as officially announced by the developers on social media.

The previous map rotation occurred recently with the release of patch 10.0, during which Lotus and Fracture returned, while Ascent and Sunset were removed. In the past, rotations were less frequent, but with the increase in the number of maps, the developers decided to change the active pool more often to diversify the game's meta and increase player interest.

With the release of patch 10.4, two maps will return to the game: Icebox and Ascent. It is still unknown if there will be additional changes to these maps. The return of these maps may influence the agent meta, as both maps have their own specifics. In exchange, Abyss and Bind will leave the competitive mode. Former professional player TenZ shared his opinion on the new rotation:

Honestly, I'm so happy that 'Abyss' is finally leaving the rotation, but on the other hand, we're just rolling the dice to figure out when and which maps will come or go. I can't imagine what it's like to be a player and face such frequent changes to the map pool. And didn’t 'Ascent' just leave?

But not all talents are happy with this outcome. For example, boaster from Fnatic expressed his displeasure with TenZ excitement, saying, "I blame TenZ ", hinting at his attachment to the maps being removed, particularly Abyss.

The developers have confirmed that the next map rotation will occur with the release of patch 10.4, although the release date has not been set. The date may change for various reasons.
