On the second day, the first round of Group A was contested between the North American dark horse KRU and the Pacific region's rising force DRX. Although KRU easily and comfortably took the first map with a big score of 13-2, leaving DRX bewildered, DRX immediately fought back in the second map. The final deciding map came to the industrial hub, and it was clear that by the third map, KRU was being controlled by DRX's rhythm, ultimately losing 6-13.
