Focus e-Sports team suspends operations
The team is ending its four-year career in esports. Founded in July 2020, Focus e-Sports covered various games, including Valorant, Valorant GC, Fortnite, and Rainbow Six Siege. In 2021, the team created a Valorant division that achieved significant success by advancing through the open qualifiers for VCJ 2023 Split 2.
In 2022, Focus e-Sports joined the Valorant GC esports scene and placed third at VCT 2022 GC JAPAN A. This year, the team was able to participate in VALORANT GC JAPAN 2024 Split 1 but failed to advance to the playoff stage of the competition.
In an official statement on X, the team expressed gratitude to fans and sponsors:
Since July 1, 2020, we have been actively growing, but from July 2024, we will suspend our operations. Thank you to everyone who supported us and to our sponsors for their assistance.
On the official Focus e-Sports website, they shared that over the past 4 years, they have gained numerous unique experiences and joys. They also noted that current plans for resuming operations are undecided, but if they return, they aim to be even better.
