Alter Ego CEO Explains Reasons Behind Udil's Transfer to HomeBois

The CEO of Alter Ego Esports, Delwyn Sukamto, has provided several reasons why he was willing to release Udil to HomeBois.

As we already know, Udil has been a widely discussed figure on social media lately.

Instead of staying longer at Alter Ego, the player surprisingly parted ways with the team after four years, joining HomeBois for the upcoming MPL Malaysia season.

The CEO finally explained the reasons behind selling this mid laner to the Malaysian team. Why did he do that? Let's find out below!

In the live stream announcing AE's full roster for MPL ID S13 on January 20, 2024, Delwyn answered questions about why his team was bold enough to let Udil go to another team.

He revealed that the process of releasing Udil from Alter Ego to HomeBois was quite lengthy. The CEO even met this "spicy boy" in person to discuss the offer.

In the end, Delwyn personally stated that there were several factors that led to Udil being released to the MPL MY S12 champion during this transfer window.

"So, the process of Udil being bought out by HomeBois was actually quite long. I personally met Udil and talked to him, and in my opinion, there were several factors," said Delwyn Sukamto.

The CEO stated that the first factor that led to Udil's departure was money. The Malaysian team seems to have had to spend a considerable amount to recruit Udil from Alter Ego.

It makes sense that AE has an impressive roster for MPL ID S13. This dark horse team appears to have used the funds from Udil's sale to acquire many top players, including Tazz.

As for the second factor, Delwyn revealed that the offer made by HomeBois to Udil was also very good. Consequently, it would be a shame if this offer was rejected by AE and the player himself.

"The first factor for AE, to be honest, we need funds to do what we want to do here, so that's one factor.

The second one, in my opinion, what HomeBois offered Udil was a very good offer, not only for AE but also for Udil.

So at that time, if we evaluate it rationally, the offer was too good to let go or not take," said the CEO.

So, those are the reasons from the CEO of Alter Ego regarding the release of Udil to HomeBois. Let's hope that this mid laner succeeds in his endeavors in the neighboring country!

As we have all witnessed, Alter Ego has just announced their roster for MPL ID S13 on January 20, 2024. However, there is one interesting thing to discuss.

Celiboy, known as the frequent jungler for the dark horse team, seems to be missing from their roster for the upcoming MPL ID season. The CEO of Alter Ego finally confirmed where this miracle boy is headed.

He stated that the 20-year-old player is training hard for his new role. It can be confirmed from the CEO's statement that Celiboy personally seems to no longer play as a jungler.

"Celiboy is training hard for his new role, there will be more information about him, just wait," Delwyn Sukamto said briefly.

It is not known further why he switched roles, but there will be more information about the player's status at Alter Ego.
