Tournament Format
- Wildcard (January 3–6): 8 teams, with the top 2 advancing to the Swiss Stage.
- Swiss Stage (January 10–17): 16 participants, with the top 8 moving on to the playoffs.
- Knockout Stage (January 18–24): 8 teams compete in elimination matches.
- Grand Finals (January 25): final series to determine the world champion.
Qualifications and Slot Allocation
To participate in the M7 World Championship, teams from around the world will compete for spots through regional qualifiers. The main slots are allocated among the championships MPL Indonesia Season 16, MPL Philippines Season 16, MPL Malaysia Season 16, MPL Singapore Season 10, and MPL Cambodia Season 9. Additionally, two spots will be awarded to representatives from the Middle East and North Africa region through MPL MENA Season 8, and two more slots will be contested in the MCC CIS Season 6 and MTC Turkey Season 6 tournaments.
In Latin America, the qualification will take place within MPL LATAM Season 4, in China through MCS 2025, and in Vietnam at the Vietnam Championship Winter 2025. Besides this, slots will be contested in MCC Mekong Season 6, ENC Mongolia, and the national qualifier in Japan.
A separate stage will be the Wild Card Stage, where teams from regions without direct invitations will meet. The top two teams from this stage will earn the right to continue in the Swiss Stage.
At the previous major tournament — the M6 World Championship, held in December 2024, the winner was the team Fnatic ONIC PH , which defeated Team Liquid ID in the finals, earning $320,000.
