M6 World Championship Swiss Stage Day 5: NIP Flash , Falcon, and Spirit advance to Knockouts

Twisted Minds , BloodThirstyKings , and CFU Gaming will have one last chance to make the Knockout Stage in the final day of the Swiss Stage.

The fifth day of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship Swiss Stage on Tuesday (December 3) saw three more teams emerge victorious in round four and advance to the Knockout Stage: NIP Flash , Falcon Esports , and Team Spirit . Meanwhile, Twisted Minds , BloodThirstyKings (BTK), and CFU Gaming have been forced into round five of the Swiss Stage, where they will have one last chance to advance.

Here are the results of day five of the M6 World Championship Swiss Stage:

The first series of the day pitted against NIP Flash against Twisted Minds , who were looking for their second chance to qualify for Knockouts after failing to do so against RRQ Hoshi . Meanwhile, the Singapore-based team aimed to secure their first-ever Knockout Stage slot in the M World Series.

The fans knew that they would be treated to a back-and-forth confrontation with the return of Ayman Othman Bin “Sanji” Muidh Alqarni to the lineup of Twisted Minds . With the fans expectant, the teams delivered. Twisted Minds struck the first blow with a perfect Tigreal performance by Moayed “Trolll” Kharaba. He single-handedly controlled the NIP Flash players and stopped all their momentum to give his team the opening win of the series.

In the next game, it was NIP Flash ’s time to shine with their pocket Natan and Hilda picks. It was Keith “Vanix” Lim that shone this time around with a flawless Natan performance, though credit must also be given to Akihiro “JPL” Furusawa on his signature Chou, who opened the fights to help NIP Flash tie up the series.

In the last game, the Singapore representatives finally showed their true colours with their signature wild picks. They picked one of JPL's signature heroes, Jawhead, by baiting it first with a Hylos. The damage from Jawhead and the crowd control from Hylos and Alpha was enough to dismantle Twisted Minds . With the victory secured, NIP Flash became the third team in M6 to earn a Knockouts slot after RRQ Hoshi in day three and Fnatic ONIC PH in day four.

Falcon and BTK faced each other in the second series of the day for another slot in the Knockouts. BTK and Falcon's performance on the stage defied everyone's expectations, but it was the Myanmar representatives that outshone their opponents.

BTK, however, struck first blood with a surprise Joy pick for Ian “FwydChickn” Hohl. This off-meta pick threw the Falcon squad out of their game as they needed to adapt to Joy's damage in the EXP Lane. Ultimately, they couldn’t as the BTK secured the game one win.

With the Joy getting banned as expected in game two, BTK couldn’t repeat their draft from the previous game. However, they took a page from NIP Flash ’s book with a Jawhead support. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned as Falcon destroyed the American representatives in game two even if Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun had his signature Fredrinn.

In the third game, Joy was back on the menu as BTK retook the hero for Fwydchicken, but Falcon was ready for it this time. Ar “Royal Milk” Kar’s MVP performance with Poveus was a testament to how the Myanmar representatives reacted. Ultimately, it was a 2-1 series victory for Falcon that allowed them to become the fourth team headed to Knockouts.

The last series was a confrontation between CFU Gaming and Spirit. Many saw both teams as deserving of a spot in the Knockout Stage, but only one could qualify in this match..

The first game showed how close both teams were as they repeatedly tried to upstage one another in a 25-minute slugfest. While Pak Anton “Hiko” Igorevich, again, played an astounding game, even treating himself to a Savage, it was CFU Gaming that got the victory after a relentless base siege.

However, the second and third games were not as long as the first. As with every game he played, Hiko kept getting better and better. In the second game, his Wanwan just destroyed the CFU Gaming lineup as he bob-and-weaved against his opponent to keep himself alive, even almost finishing with a deathless game. In the third game, even though he didn’t die, it was Stanislav “SAWO” Reshniak's performance using Belerick that proved crucial to Spirit taking a 10-minute victory that propelled them to the Knockout Stage.

The M6 World Championship continues with day six of the Swiss Stage. Three teams will be eliminated, while three others will have one more chance to the Knockout Stage. Here are the draws for the sixth day of the Swiss Stage:

Low Seeds (1-2):

Team Vamos Vs S2G Esports
KeepBest Gaming Vs Selangor Red Giants
Aurora Gaming Vs Team Liquid ID

The M6 World Championship will take place from November 21 to December 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is split into three distinct phases: the Wildcard Stage from November 21 to 24, the Swiss Stage from November 28 to December 5, and the Knockout Stage from December 7 to 15.

Sixteen teams have qualified for the Swiss Stage after a gruelling Wildcard Stage. All participants will fight for their lives in the tournament, as only eight slots are open for the Knockout Stage.
