Not Mental and Gameplay, Rekt Has an Assessment of AE Player Criteria

This season, Rekt was appointed as the coach of Alter Ego Esports. As the new coach of El Familia, AE Rekt has his own assessment of the criteria for players to be played in a match.

It is not about mentality or macro and micro gameplay that a player has. According to him, those are not the main criteria that he looks for in a player.

Although it has not been able to boost Alter Ego Esports' position in the MPL ID S14 regular season standings, Rekt 's very careful assessment in selecting players in the AE roster was able to bring the team out of the bottom three positions.

In the seventh week, Alter Ego Esports will face Dewa United in the opening match of the second day. Once again, Rekt 's judgment will be tested there. What are the criteria for his chosen players?

Desire to Learn Becomes Rekt 's Main Criteria in Selecting AE Players in MPL ID S14

According to Rekt , the player he will choose to play is a player who is hungry to learn, even if he has no experience, or his macro-micro gameplay is not perfect.

In addition, the Alter Ego Esports roster this season has undergone many changes, such as Nino who was in the Gold Lane in season 13, now replacing PAI in the EXP Lane.

"In my opinion, the most important thing is not about mentality or experience, nor gameplay. But, a player who is thirsty for knowledge, and wants to continue learning," he said.

According to Rekt , all the players currently on AE's roster have met the criteria he wants in a player.

"Yes, all of them (Roster AE), are included in the criteria that I mentioned earlier. Like Nino for example, he just moved from Gold Lane to EXP Lane, and wants to learn," continued Rekt .

Rekt also mentioned several names specifically, such as Nino , Owen , RoundeL , and also Gebe who has not played yet, but still wants to learn. 

"Not only Nino , but RoundeL , Owen , Gebe who have not played yet, they have the desire to learn. So, they are all in AE. Regarding mentality, we can shape that," he concluded.

The match against Dewa United which will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, is one of the tests that Nino CS and Rekt must face. Because, if they lose, Anak Dewa could overtake them who are currently only a few points apart.
