Becoming AE Coach in MPL ID S14, Rekt Learns a Lot from Zeys
Facing MPL ID S14, Alter Ego Esports made a major overhaul, after previously failing miserably in Season 13, after failing to qualify for the playoff round.
Rekt now sits in the coaching chair that Nafari left behind, when he was unable to bring Alter Ego to a better level, or even bring out their full potential.
In addition to Rekt , Alter Ego Esports also brought in several new players divided into several roles. There are Nnael and Owen from the Yellow Landak team, Onic Prodigy , along with Gebe , a former Opi player at MDL ID.
Rekt is a great player, with various nicknames that have surrounded his name during his career in the competitive scene of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia. His character was formed thanks to the many great coaches he has met. However, he admits that he has his own style in coaching.
Rekt Ready to Show His Coaching Style at MPL ID S14
RevivaLTV had the opportunity to conduct a live interview with Alter Ego Esports' new coach, Rekt , who is also a former player for EVOS and AE.
With the experience he has, Rekt certainly has the capability to be a coach in his current position.
There have been many great coaches whose coaching style he has experienced, such as Zeys, who previously succeeded in bringing the White Tiger team, EVOS, to win the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world competition, M1 World Championship.
Armed with the experience he has, he combines many training methods and forms his own training style when coaching Alter Ego Esports later.
He added that his experience as a captain and also his analysis as a player, were the main assets for him to train.
"Of course I learn from experience, and I will train with my own style that I learned from my experience as a player and also as a team captain," said Rekt .
The Decision to Become an Alter Ego Coach Came About This Moment!
He added that when Nafari decided to leave the Alter Ego coaching staff, it was the moment when he was determined to start a new career as a coach.
"After Nafari decided to leave Alter Ego, it's hard to find a good coach in Indonesia. Most of them are from PH (Philippines), I feel like I'm still smarter than them," said Rekt .
Although he admitted that he would use his own style when coaching, Rekt still learned a lot from Zeys, his former coach at EVOS Esports. So, he learned a lot of gameplay techniques and draft selection from him.
"I learned a lot from Zeys, I have been close to him for a long time. We often exchange ideas about drafts, gameplay, and other technicalities in the game. However, I will continue to use my own coaching style in the future," he concluded.
