AP Bren clinched their second consecutive M5 World Championship in a thrilling showdown against ONIC Esports, sealing a 4-3 victory in the grand final.
The team made history as the first-ever squad to secure two M-series titles, adding to their 2021 M2 World Championship win.
In a nail-biting opener, Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayon led AP Bren to a flawless victory with a remarkable 3/0/4 KDA on Fredrinn.
ONIC Esports retaliated strongly in the second game, with Gilang “Sanz” showcasing prowess with an impressive 4/0/10 KDA performance on Gord.
However, AP Bren claimed the following two games. ONIC Esports tried to stage a comeback with their signature heroes in game five, but a strategic move by Bren secured their victory.
The sixth game saw Calvin “CW” Winata’s Wanwan shining brightly, forcing the series into a decisive seventh game.
In the ultimate game, AP Bren’s crowd control-heavy lineup dominated, restricting ONIC Esports’ movements and securing a pivotal victory. David “FlapTzy” Canon’s exceptional performance earned him the grand final MVP award.
The win earned AP Bren the lion’s share of the US$900,000 prize pool, cementing their status as the top Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team of the year.
