The Reason Moonton Prefers MSC in EWC 2024 Over M World Championship
Founded in 2014, Moonton Games is a global company dedicated to game development, publishing, and esports. One of its products is the leading MOBA game, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is now back with a new breakthrough, through its collaboration with EWC, or Esports World Cup 2024. This collaboration was established by presenting MSC within EWC, as the official MLBB competition at the international event.
As a world competition on an international scale, EWC can be categorized as the pinnacle of all competitions in the esports branch. However, for MLBB itself, they have another competition with a similar title, which is the top tier, namely the M Series World Championship.
Then, this raises questions from many parties, why Moonton prefers to collaborate with EWC in the MSC competition, and not the M Series World Championship, as the top tier competition in the MLBB game.

RevivaLTV had the opportunity to conduct a live interview with Ray Ng, Head of Ecosystem Moonton Games, on (02/07/2024), regarding this matter.
When asked about the reason for MSC's collaboration with EWC, and not the M Series World Championship, he admitted that the choice arose because of the inconsistent schedules between the implementation of EWC and the M Series World Championship.
The reason is, the EWC which will be held in July 2024, the timeline is more suitable for collaboration with MSC, than the M Series World Championship.
However, Ray emphasized that it is possible that in the future there will be changes to the schedule of MSC and the M Series World Championship, so that they can work together with EWC more optimally.
"The main reason is the incompatibility of the EWC schedule with the M Series World Championship. So, to change this, it is very unlikely, considering that in the middle of this year (July 2024), there is the implementation of MSC. So, we chose MSC to collaborate with EWC this year.
However, it is possible that in the future, we will make a complete schedule change, related to existing competitions, in order to adjust. Of course with thorough preparation, and not in a hurry," he explained to RevivaLTV.
With the current large Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gaming community, plus the presence of various new regions, which have different types of audiences, it is not impossible that in the future we will see various new breakthroughs through the holding of different competitions in the coming years.
