The news of Gugun 's certainty about joining Aura Fire from TWE Bossque is more or less management's answer to VANN's departure to EVOS Glory. The reason is, the player has been the team's mainstay in the last two seasons.
By successfully leading TWE Bossque to win the MDL ID S8, it shows that Gugun is a quality jungler who deserves the opportunity to appear in MPL ID. He also looks quite flexible in this role, playing tank, assassin and fighter heroes last season.

On the sidelines of the Meet n Greet Aura Fire : Civil War event on Sunday (11/2) in South Jakarta, ONE Esports asked the Head of Esports AURA Esports who also doubles as Aura Fire 's assistant coach, Reza Pahlevi, about Gugun 's development as replacement for VANN.
Before the question was finished, Reza immediately interrupted and revealed that Gugun joined Aura Fire without going through a trial process or anything else, like a pro player when joining a new team. He even admitted that he didn't know the jungler before!
“To be honest, Gugun was not tested. He joined Aura on January 3 and immediately entered the MPL roster without a trial. "So during the trial, Jijey (High) was the jungler," said Reza Pahlevi to ONE Esports.
“When we were still looking for the other jungler, suddenly I wanted to bring one player, his name was Gugun . So yes, join in January. "We've never played together in rank, we don't even know each other," he said.
Indirectly, the process of Gugun joining Aura Fire just happened without going through a sufficiently mature process. Apart from that, it is very likely that the player who will be Aura Fire 's main jungler in MPL ID S13 so far is High, who previously changed roles to become a roamer. However, ONE Esports remains curious about Gugun 's development, potential and opportunities at Aura Fire . Reza also revealed that everything went well and was satisfactory.
"In the first month, the progress was actually quite good. Even more than enough, lah. "We still haven't seen it from the tournament side, but from the online and training side, everything is going smoothly," said Reza.
“But we also learned from last season that smooth training is not necessarily a guarantee. So we will do our best and so far everything is going well," he said.
It will be interesting to see what Aura Fire 's performance will be like on MPL ID S13. YAWI 's joining is one of the main highlights, considering that the player is world champion with ECHO in the M4 World Championship, but it is not impossible that Gugun can also become a new color for the team.
