Cloud9 reportedly set to part ways with APA and Zven ahead of 2027

Cloud9 are expected to release mid laner Eain “APA” Stearns and AD carry Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, according to Sheep Esports. Both players have begun exploring opportunities for the 2027 season, with APA also considering options in Europe.

The reported departures would formally conclude their time with Cloud9 after both lost their starting positions during the 2026 season.

Summer replacements established themselves

APA and Zven contributed to Cloud9 ’s early-season performances, but the organization missed qualification for First Stand and MSI. Cloud9 subsequently brought Lee “Loki” Sang-min and Edward “Tactical” Ra into the starting lineup.

Although the organization retained seven players, APA and Zven did not start during the Summer Split or playoffs. They had already received permission to leave if another team made an offer.

Loki and Tactical remained starters as Cloud9 qualified for Worlds, where defeats against Karmine Corp and FURIA ended their campaign in the Play-In.

Contract exits remain reported

According to Sheep Esports, both players originally had contracts running through 2028, but those agreements are expected to be terminated.

Neither player’s next destination was established in the report. The departures remain reported moves pending official confirmation.
