jojopyun extends Movistar KOI contract through 2027

Movistar KOI have extended Joseph " jojopyun " Pyun's contract through the end of the 2027 season.

The North American mid laner's previous agreement was scheduled to expire at the end of 2026, but MKOI have moved early to retain him beyond the upcoming Worlds campaign.

"There is still much history to be written," the organization said while announcing the extension.

jojopyun remains part of MKOI core

jojopyun joined Movistar KOI at the end of 2024 and remained part of the starting lineup throughout the 2026 season alongside Myrwn , Elyoya , Supa , and Alvaro .

Reports dating back to November 2025 indicated that MKOI had already begun negotiations to extend several members of the core, including jojopyun , Elyoya , and Alvaro .

The confirmation makes jojopyun one of the organization's first locked-in pieces for its 2027 roster.

Movistar KOI finished second in LEC 2026 Summer after losing 0:3 to G2 Esports in the Grand Final.

The team has also qualified for Worlds 2026.
