Generation Gaming and T1 qualify for Worlds 2026
Generation Gaming Esports and T1 have officially secured their places at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship following Generation Gaming 's victory over KT Rolster in the LCK playoffs.
Generation Gaming 's 3:0 sweep guaranteed the organization a sufficiently high postseason finish to qualify for Worlds.
The result also mathematically secured T1 's qualification before their upcoming playoff series against Hanwha Life Esports .
Generation Gaming reach Worlds for seventh consecutive year
Generation Gaming 's victory over KT sent them into the LCK upper bracket final and ensured they cannot fall outside the region's qualification positions.
The organization will therefore make its seventh consecutive appearance at the World Championship.
Their final seed remains undecided and will depend on the remaining playoff results.
T1 qualification secured by playoff bracket
Generation Gaming 's victory also removed the remaining scenario in which T1 could miss Worlds.
Even before facing Hanwha Life Esports , T1 could no longer finish below the position required to qualify for the tournament.
Hanwha Life Esports had already guaranteed their own place at Worlds through the qualification condition attached to their MSI 2026 championship.
Generation Gaming , T1 and Hanwha Life Esports are therefore confirmed as three of Korea 's representatives at Worlds 2026.
The remaining LCK playoff matches will determine the final representative and regional seeding.
