Fleshy on Humanoid: “I just couldn't see the fire inside him anymore”
Team Vitality have become more motivated following their roster changes ahead of LEC 2026 Summer, according to Kadir "Fleshy" Kemiksiz.
Speaking in an interview with Sheep Esports, the support compared the current lineup with the previous roster and said the team now shows a stronger willingness to fight back from difficult positions. He also discussed former mid laner Marek "Humanoid" Brázda, saying he no longer saw the same level of motivation and patience from him.
On Humanoid and the atmosphere in the previous roster
Fleshy acknowledged that Humanoid had strengths in areas such as jungle-support synergy and macro control, but said his attitude toward practice eventually affected the atmosphere within the team.
"Humanoid maybe has aspects of the game he's better at, like controlling jungle-support synergy and macro, but I just couldn't see the fire inside him anymore. You need to have passion and patience when you're a pro. Marek just did not have this patience, unless he was joking. When you have this attitude, it spreads and changes the way everyone on the team acts. People start calling for FFs and get tilted."
According to Fleshy, the previous roster also struggled to maintain focus when games started poorly. He believes the current lineup has a much stronger mentality when attempting to recover from significant early deficits.
"Today, people are actually playing for comebacks. Even if we get fucked jungle, the enemy has double our CS , and we have a rough early game, we're talking about how to make a comeback and win. That was just not the case before. I feel way more confident in this environment."
On FIESTA
Fleshy also praised An "[ FIESTA ]" Hyeon-seo, who took over the mid lane position.
He highlighted FIESTA 's individual ability, aggressive approach, and continued development as a communicator within the team.
" FIESTA is a really good player. We're still trying to figure out how to activate him even more through drafts and our gameplay. He's really good in 1v1s, and he's aggressive. He's also been improving a lot in terms of shotcalling and talking with us while in-game."
Team Vitality are continuing to work on their jungle-support coordination around FIESTA , with Fleshy believing there is still room to improve how the team creates opportunities for its mid laner.
On preparing for playoffs
Vitality have already started playing best-of-five practice blocks against Karmine Corp and G2 Esports as they prepare for a potential playoff run.
Fleshy said the team is determined not to repeat its previous playoff performance, when a 9-1 regular-season record was followed by a 0-6 result in playoffs.
"No one can predict what will happen in the playoffs, but I know for sure that we are way more motivated to win the LEC than we were in the last two splits. I'd even say more than the last three, since I was there last summer. This is the most motivated I've seen our team since I was promoted to the LEC."
Despite the team's position in the standings, Fleshy stressed that Vitality cannot afford to underestimate any opponent.
The team will continue preparing for the remaining LEC 2026 Summer matches while building toward a possible playoff run.
