Ibai stated that he is dissatisfied not only with the loss to SK Gaming but also with Movistar KOI 's results throughout the split. According to him, the team is currently far from the level at which it should represent the club and its fans.
What happened today is simply a disgrace and absolutely unacceptable. As is this entire split. I want to offer you my sincerest apologies because right now we are very far from representing this club and the people who support it with dignity. I think it's time to look each other in the eye and admit that we are monstrously bad. Our league is not about fighting for victory at Worlds. Our league is SK, Heretics, Fnatic , GAM, Shifters , and Factor K.
On Possible Changes
The co-founder of Movistar KOI also responded to fans' calls for changes following poor results. Ibai noted that he understands such a reaction but believes that decisions should not be made until the end of the regular season.
I know many of you want change, want to tear everything down, and are speaking out emotionally right now. I understand that. I'm going through the same thing. Moreover, I'm losing money and hair over this, although, to be fair, it's because I wanted this. But now is not the time to change anything.
About the Last Match
Movistar KOI still has a match against Team Heretics. Ibai expressed hope that the team can win the series and continue fighting for a playoff spot until the end.
We have one match left. I hope we find at least a minimal amount of pride to defeat Heretics and fight for the playoffs until the very end. I hope and want to believe that we still have a bit of soul left.
