G2 Esports and Movistar KOI Sweep Their Way Into the LEC 2026 Versus Upper Bracket Final
The LEC 2026 Versus upper bracket semifinals delivered two clean sweeps on the day, as G2 Esports dispatched Karmine Corp and Movistar KOI sent Natus Vincere packing.
Both series went the same way — a decisive 2:0 — booking the two victors a place in the upper bracket final.
Natus Vincere 0:2 Movistar KOI
Movistar KOI came out of the gates with intent, imposing a high tempo that left Natus Vincere struggling to find their footing in the laning phase. Game 1 was a statement performance, with KOI running out comfortable 2:0 winners in 32 minutes off the back of dominant neutral objective control, closing it out with a 20:4 scoreline. They carried that energy into Game 2, once again seizing control through the midgame and finishing the job in 37 minutes with a 19:5 victory.
Supa was named MVP for his series-defining contribution, finishing with a 8.0/1.5/6.5 KDA. He was a constant threat in skirmishes and teamfights alike, leading the team in champion damage throughout.
Karmine Corp 0:2 G2 Esports
G2 Esports wasted no time taking the reins in Game 1, building a gold lead early and never relinquishing it. Precise objective control and dominance in teamfights did the talking as they wrapped things up in 33 minutes with a commanding 24:8 score. Karmine Corp put up more of a fight in Game 2, holding parity for longer, but G2's relentless pressure gradually wore them down before closing out a 31:19 result in 49 minutes to complete the sweep.
BrokenBlade was awarded MVP honors, ending the series with a 7.5/2.0/8.5 KDA. He dictated the pace of his lane throughout and was a reliable presence in every key teamfight.
