T1 Reveals Details of Zeus's Move to Hanwha Life Esports

The organization T1 has apologized for the mistakes made during Choi "Zeus" Woo-je's transfer to Hanwha Life Esports . The management acknowledged their responsibility for the misunderstanding with the agency THE PLAY, which led to the conflict. The statement was made on the club's official YouTube channel.

The unexpected transfer of Zeus on November 19, 2024, marked the end of T1 's "golden roster" (ZOFGK), which had won Worlds twice. Following the player's transfer, a public conflict arose between the club and THE PLAY, accompanied by accusations and disagreements. Eight months later, representatives of the organization officially admitted their mistakes and confirmed their commitment to constructive dialogue with the former player and his entourage.

We once again realized the pain and suffering Choi Woo-je and his family went through in recent months. For the apology to be meaningful, we had to show our willingness to change.

During the address, the head of the club noted that the initial offer sent to Zeus might have been perceived as disrespectful. He stated that T1 's position at that time was based on distorted information. He also confirmed that on November 19, the day the transfer window closed, the parties were close to an agreement, but a misunderstanding occurred due to Hanwha Life Esports ' deadline, which T1 initially deemed invalid.

We misunderstood the deadline in Hanwha Life's offer and made a serious communication error. We bear responsibility for this.

The club representative specifically emphasized that they did not suspect Zeus of breaching contract terms or engaging in unauthorized negotiations with other teams.

T1 never believed that the player's actions involved tampering.

Special attention was given to the meeting on June 25 between T1 , THE PLAY agency, and the player's family. According to participants, the negotiations were held in a productive atmosphere. Both parties confirmed that they made every effort to resolve the conflict. As a result, T1 and THE PLAY agreed to settle all disputes and focus on the future.

Zeus was an outstanding player who made a huge contribution to our club over the past five years. Although he now plays for a competitor, we will sincerely support his journey.

In conclusion, the organization's representatives urged to cease any unfounded accusations and negativity towards the player and his family. They emphasized that although the apology was delayed, it was sincere.
