LoL players are furious with the MSI 2025 ticket situation
Although the upcoming split for the five major regions in League of Legends is just around the corner, fans had the opportunity to grab their tickets for the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational.
Unfortunately, for many fans, they had no chance of grabbing a ticket for one of the biggest League of Legends events of the year, and the fans are furious about another problematic international event for the travelling fans.
Upon the event being sold out, many LoL players have taken to a singular Reddit thread to complain about the fact that hundreds of LoL fans were not able to get tickets to the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational.
Many will not be able to make the trip to Vancouver, largely down to a ticketing problem, where bots were able to snap up the tickets within seconds of them coming live on the market. This has been an ongoing problem for many events, not exclusive to League of Legends. And while Riot did put in some safeguards for Worlds 2024, fans are yet again enraged at the problems they are facing with getting tickets for MSI 2025.
One player said, "This is sadly how things are for any big event, not just League. Bots get there first unless you're lucky." This has been an ongoing problem with many LoL events for years, where bots have been able to snap up the tickets and then resell them at extremely high prices. Another player said, "I waited for every ticket to disappear in front of my eyes, the only options left are like seats that are far apart." It's painful to read all of the fans who were not able to get tickets for the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational.
It will be interesting to see how fans will get on with the next wave of tickets that are going to be released within the coming days. Riot will likely be made aware of the issues for the first wave of tickets, and hopefully will have some more safety measures in place to try and limit the number of bots snapping up tickets.
