Live broadcast on March 21st: On March 22nd, the second stage of the 2025 League of Legends Professional League ( LPL ) will officially start. Under the new competition system, 16 teams will start a new round of fierce competition! On the first day, four teams from Group A, BLG Xingji Meizu, WBG TapTap, EDward Gaming and Xi'an WE, will all appear. Summoners should not miss it!

The second stage of the 2025LPL will be divided into four stages: group stage, intra-group stage, knight's road and knockout stage.
Under the new competition system, the second stage will start with a 10-day group stage - the 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups according to the draw results, and the group rankings will be determined through a double round-robin BO1 from March 22nd to 29th. The top 2 teams in each group will enter the Summit Group, the 4th team in each group will enter the Nirvana Group, and the 3rd team in each group will go to the Summit Promotion Tournament held on March 30th and 31st to compete for the last two Summit Group seats.
The group match will be held from April 5 to May 21. The 10-team Summit Group will play a double round-robin BO3, while the 6-team Nirvana Group will play a single round-robin BO3. After a brutal round of competition, the 3rd and 4th-ranked teams in the Nirvana Group will end their journey in the second stage, and the last 2 teams will end their journey in the 2025 season ahead of schedule. On the other hand, the top 4 teams in the Summit Group will directly lock in their places in the knockout rounds, and will be eligible to select their opponents in the first round of the knockout rounds. The remaining 8 teams, 5th to 10th in the Summit Group and 1st to 2nd in the Nirvana Group, will have to compete in the Knight's Road from May 24th to 27th to grab the last 4 places in the knockout rounds.
In the end, the eight teams will enter the knockout stage together to challenge for the title of the winner of the second stage! It is worth mentioning that the winner of the second stage will become the No. 1 seed representing the LPL region, and the loser of the final will be the No. 2 seed, and they will go to the 2025 Mid-Season Championship held at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada!

The 16 teams have been divided into four groups according to the draw results, and will start the fierce competition of double round-robin BO1 in the groups at 16:00 every day from March 22nd to 29th. The subsequent summit promotion competition from March 30th to 31st will consist of the first round of BO1 and the win-lose group match BO3, and the competition will start at 17:00 every day.
Compared with other modes, the exciting BO1 creates unlimited possibilities for confrontations between teams. This not only tests the degree of team coordination, but also whether the team can continue to maintain a good competitive state, which becomes the key to this stage of the game.

In addition, the LPL region will continue to use the bilateral Fearless Draft mode, which is a game mode that disables all heroes that have been selected by both teams by default.
