LPL three-stage points released: the first stage winner only 20, the second stage winner 90, the third stage winner directly invited to the S game
Live Bar, March 21st: Yesterday the official updated the 2025 League of Legends Professional League competition rules, explaining this year's LPL 's annual total ranking divided into three stages and the global finals points.
Among them, the winner of the first stage, Top Esports , only got 20 points, which was the same as the fifth and sixth place in the second stage of the global finals. The winner of the third stage was directly invited to the S game to become the number one seed, and the second place received 110 points.
Unlike in the past, this year's bubble match will be divided into three situations:
① If LPL fails to qualify as the fourth seed in MSI, except for the first and second seeds, the other three teams with the highest global points will enter the global finals qualifiers (bubble matches). If the points are the same, the team with the higher points in the third stage will be ranked higher.
At that time, the bubble match will be a BO5 match between the two teams with lower points. After that, the winner will challenge the team with the highest points to determine the third seed qualification.
② If an LPL team fails to advance to the playoffs after winning the MSI; or an LPL team enters the playoffs after winning the MSI and becomes the first or second seed, and the LPL team does not win the MSI and qualifies as the fourth seed in the S series.
Except for the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, the other four teams with the highest global points will enter the global finals qualifiers (bubble matches). If the points are the same, the team with the higher points ranking in the third stage will be ranked higher.
At that time, the bubble match will be held in which the two teams with higher points will play a BO5 match first, and the winner will become the third seed. The loser and the two teams with lower points will play a BO5 match, and the winners will then play against each other to determine the fourth seed qualification.
③If an LPL team enters the playoffs after winning the MSI, but fails to win the championship or become the highest-scoring team of the year (the first or second seed), then the team will enter the World Championship Qualifying Round with the other three teams with the highest global points.
The two teams with the lowest points will play a BO5 match, the loser will be eliminated, and the winner will play a BO5 match with the team with the highest points, the loser will be eliminated. The winner will play a BO5 match with the MSI champion, the winner will become the third seed, and the loser will become the fourth seed.
