LCK Secretary General: Riot has made DDoS a top priority and is confident that players will be able to live stream normally
At the 2025 LCK Cup Media Day held at the LCK Arena in Jongno-gu, Seoul on January 8, Secretary-General Lee responded to questions about the DDoS attacks that began last year by stating, “Riot Games’ global technology department has also made resolving DDoS issues a top priority and is working with the LCK to address them, and a lot of progress has been made.”
He added, “But this is not a problem that can be solved immediately with a particular solution, and we need to try multiple methods and check each suspicious part one by one to deal with it.” He further emphasized, “What I can say is that we will see significant improvements soon. I am confident that the players’ personal live broadcasts will no longer be disrupted.”
The LCK will kick off the 2025 season with the opening match of the LCK Cup on the 15th of this month. Secretary General Lee said, "As a sports content that can be enjoyed by all generations and a global content, the LCK will continue to take on new challenges together with players, coaching staff, media, industry professionals, and fans."
