Q: Quad said he has known you since he was 14 and often sought your advice. What do you think of your "apprentice's" performance today?
Chovy : Meeting and competing with him on such a big stage is quite an emotional experience. How should I put it? It's very refreshing!
Q: Both sides made many special picks in the mid lane today, such as your Kassadin and the Seraphine in the first game. Was the Seraphine in the first game really unexpected for you, and why did you choose Kassadin?
Chovy : The Seraphine pick indeed exceeded our expectations, but they met the conditions to pick Seraphine. Kassadin was chosen because we considered the opponent's mid-jungle selections. The later the game goes, the more advantageous it is for us with Kassadin.
Q: In the last game, facing FLY's signature Fiddlesticks, you handled it very well. Did you have any special practice?
Chovy : We didn't encounter Fiddlesticks in scrims, so we didn't anticipate it. However, Fiddlesticks was picked relatively early in the last game, giving us time to consider how to counter it, and during the match, we made sure to contain Fiddlesticks.
Q: This year, GEN has been considered a favorite to win at almost every international event. Before today's match, everyone predicted a significant gap, but what do you think caused today's close result?
Chovy : The reason we played all five games today is partly due to the opponent playing well and us not performing well. We lost the first and third games, partly due to our draft choices and my own inadequate execution. We also made some early mistakes in the third game, which led to today's match going to the fifth game.
Q: How did you manage to successfully turn the tables after being down 1-2 today? What was the biggest issue you corrected?
Chovy : The opponent's mid-jungle favored AP champions and special picks, so in the last game, we decided to go with the composition we were most familiar with. In hindsight, our choice was correct.
Q: This year seems to be your best chance at winning the world championship. After five previous attempts, how eager are you now to win your first championship trophy?
Chovy : Since turning professional, my pursuit of the championship hasn't changed much, so whether it's now, in the past, or in the future, my goal is always the championship.
Q: Facing T1 in the upcoming semifinals presents an interesting question. Do you think the upcoming T1 will be the "Worlds-buffed" T1, or the T1 you can repeatedly defeat in the LCK? How do you view the upcoming semifinal matchup?
Chovy : We still need to internally discuss how to deal with T1, and besides that, there doesn't seem to be much more we can prepare.
Q: There are many fans supporting you from the PCS region. What would you like to say to them, and how confident are you, on a scale of 0-10, in winning the championship?
Chovy : From a geographical perspective, LCK and PCS are quite far apart, but I'm very grateful for the support from afar. I originally gave myself a 9, but after today's match, I might deduct some points, maybe 7 to 8.
