Q: What are your thoughts on today's match?
Gumayusi : First of all, we haven't fully realized that we've made it to the semifinals yet. We're very happy to win the match and grateful for the opportunity.
Q: When you found out your opponent was TES, did you feel happy about the chance for revenge?
Gumayusi : Personally, I didn't think the draw was perfect, but I believed we could definitely win the match.
Q: JackeyLove made a mistake with the Rift Herald. Do you feel confident in your own Rift Herald control?
Gumayusi : JackeyLove probably made a mistake by clicking the wrong spot, and since I often play Sion, I think my Rift Herald control is top-notch.
Q: Seeing T1's performance, it feels like autumn has arrived. Do you feel your form has improved?
Gumayusi : I didn't expect my teammates and I to perform so well today. I think this is a good omen, and we should be able to continue performing like this in the future.
Q: Did you perform better in the match than in practice?
Gumayusi : Personally, I think so.
Q: You've won three consecutive games on the red side. Does this mean your strategies haven't been too exposed?
Gumayusi : I think our drafting was perfect, which led to good results.
Q: Some say drafting on the red side is difficult. What do you think?
Gumayusi : There are many strong champions, especially some OP champions, which indeed makes drafting on the red side more challenging.
Q: Do you think the priority of short-ranged AD champions has decreased?
Gumayusi : Top lane champions are very strong in team fights and can easily kill ADs, so there is indeed such a trend. However, I think there are still some short-ranged AD champions worth using.
Q: You've gone seven consecutive games without dying in the World Championship knockout stage?
Gumayusi : I didn't really notice that. Actually, the AD position is quite easy to play if your teammates perform well. My teammates played very well today, so I was quite comfortable.
Q: If you were to rate your performance today, what score would you give and why?
Gumayusi : I would give myself a 9 out of 10. My laning phase in the first game was a bit lacking, and I think I could have done better, so I deducted one point.
Q: If you had to choose the most impressive play today, including yourself, which would it be?
Gumayusi : The most memorable moment for me was in the third game when I used Xayah to dash forward and end the game. That play is etched in my memory.
Q: It's said that baseball players feel the ball gets bigger when they're in good form. Did you feel something similar today?
Gumayusi : During team fights today, the opponent's operations and intentions were particularly clear, so I reacted quickly, and the match went smoothly.
Q: Pyke is expected to appear frequently in solo queue soon. Do you have anything to say to Pyke players?
Gumayusi : When playing Pyke as support, it's best to decide whether to use Pyke based on the AD's choice, as this would be more suitable.
Q: What are your thoughts on BLG and WBG's qualification process?
Gumayusi : These two teams were somewhat different from what I expected, quite surprising. However, BLG is very strong, and that's pretty much my assessment of them.
Q: Do you believe in superstitions or curses like a butterfly passing by or growing long hair?
Gumayusi : I don't really believe in these things, but I think if you want to win the World Championship, you need a bit of luck on your side.
Q: If you win the championship this year, will you continue to grow your hair long?
Gumayusi : Yes, I will probably keep it for another year and see.
Q: Why are you confident in picking a high-risk champion like Caitlyn?
Gumayusi : If Caitlyn develops smoothly, her late-game value is not bad, and I have confidence in using this champion, so I chose her.
Q: Confidence for the semifinals?
Gumayusi : Although I don't know which team will qualify tomorrow, no matter who we face, we will give it our all. I believe we have advantages in certain areas, so we will face it confidently.
Q: Do you have anything to say to the fans?
Gumayusi : We have successfully advanced to the semifinals and will strive to win the championship in London. Thank you all for your continuous support.
