In an interview, Joe Marsh talked about player Rekkles.
Q: Does this possibly mean that Rekkles will later become a substitute for the main team? Or will he continue to serve T1's second team?
Joe Marsh: Rekkles will continue to play in T1's second team, I think for the main team roster we will only have five players, I made a mistake a few years ago by forming a ten-player roster, and the rotations back then were just too much.
Therefore, we prefer to maintain a five-player roster, this lineup has been together for four years now, which allows them to face failures and grow together. I think having substitutes actually hinders growth, and I believe everyone has seen the steady progress of this lineup.
From the semifinals in 2021 to the finals in 2022, to winning the championship in 2023, and now we are at the World Championship again, we can see our progress and the necessity of not changing the roster. When failing to advance or ending the season with poor results, most teams immediately change their roster, but we have always maintained this lineup. We feel special about this roster and hope to keep these five players together as long as possible, but every journey will have an end one day. We hope this is not our end, but we can never predict the future.
