Q: Congratulations again on winning the LCK Summer Championship. As far as I know, you had a pleasant Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, and now you are about to go abroad to Europe. How have you been recently?
Zeka : It has been two weeks since we won the summer championship, time flies. At first, it didn't feel real, but with the World Championship just around the corner, I am a bit nervous now. I will prepare well for the World Championship.
Q: After winning the LCK championship, many people must have sent you congratulatory messages. Who did you meet during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and how did you spend that time? How did they celebrate for you?
Zeka : The finals ended right before the Mid-Autumn Festival. My home is in Pohang, so after the finals in Gyeongju, I went straight home. After returning home, I really wanted to meet those who congratulated me on winning, but if I had gone to Seoul then, it would have been the Mid-Autumn holiday soon, and I wouldn't have been able to come back. So, I stayed at home in Pohang, and my family and relatives celebrated for me. I relaxed and rested in a fun way.
Q: Zeka recently mentioned in a live broadcast that "I went to my grandmother's house during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the walls were covered with content related to HLE's championship. It felt amazing." Can you elaborate on this story?
Zeka : Both my father's and mother's relatives congratulated me on winning. My grandmother also came to Gyeongju to watch the finals, and my aunt has always supported me, cutting out posters and even making a championship cake for me. When I went to my grandmother's house this time, my family celebrated together and took many photos. As soon as I entered the house, I saw many photos and congratulatory messages on the walls. I am very grateful.
Q: How did you react?
Zeka : I felt a bit shy and awkward at the time, but looking back, I am very grateful.
Q: I saw on social media that you went to IU's concert.
Zeka : IU held a concert at the venue where the World Championship was held last year. I went to the concert yesterday with Peanut. Before the 2022 World Championship started, I went to IU's concert for the first time and gained a lot of motivation and energy. We achieved great results in that year's World Championship. This time, IU held another concert before the World Championship, and since I had good memories from before, I went to see it. IU's concert was very cool and fun, and I had a great time.
Q: People around me who went to the concert said IU's live performance was particularly good.
Zeka : It was really fun, and even shocking. Tens of thousands of fans gathered to see one person, which was touching. I enjoyed the concert.
Q: Many people also feel that way about Zeka.
Zeka : Watching the cool concert stage made me feel that being a professional player is very honorable. Opportunities to be on the finals stage are rare, so if I get another chance in the future, I must seize it.
Q: GEN was a very dominant team in the summer season, and honestly, many people predicted that GEN would win. How was the determination within HLE or for you personally at that time?
In the Chinese restaurant, I deliciously enjoyed the food.
