Q: What do you think about the top lane version of this year's World Championship? Which champions do you predict will be strong?
Doran : We haven't played many scrims yet, so we haven't fully mastered the top lane version. According to those professional analysts, Gnar, Jax, and other champions have been buffed. I am confident with these champions; this is a version suitable for me to perform.
Q: Is Rumble still as annoying?
Doran : Rumble has been nerfed again. I played a game with him in solo queue, and he felt really weak. I predict Rumble's priority will drop in this World Championship, and his annoying nature should disappear.
Q: Why are tank champions not active?
Doran : The representative tank champion is K'Sante. In the early to mid part of the summer split, I thought K'Sante was good and viable, but in the later part of the summer split, strong AD champions like Tristana mid frequently appeared, making K'Sante easy to kill. So starting from the playoffs, I felt K'Sante's priority was lower than expected, and he wasn't picked much in the playoffs.
Q: Looking back at past World Championships, what aspects did you focus on the most?
Doran : From past World Championship experiences, even though the duration is short, the version changes drastically. Adapting to the version is the most important thing to not fall behind. Moreover, since we are going to Europe this time, we must manage our condition well and adapt to the time difference.
Q: Despite HLE winning the championship, GEN still received better evaluations. Do you feel regretful about this?
Doran : Although we defeated GEN in the finals, GEN is definitely a strong team. I think the competitive level GEN has shown so far is very good. I don't feel regretful about such evaluations. In this era, it's common to see underdogs winning, and such evaluations are actually better.
Q: Everyone seems to care about the black-and-white jersey curse at the World Championship. This time, all LCK teams will wear white jerseys. What do you think?
Doran : I don't believe in curses much. Actually, I wanted to win the championship wearing a black jersey, but since it's not up to me, I will wear the jersey prepared by the team. I believe the curse will be broken one day.
Q: HLE has two players who have won the World Championship before. Do they make you feel reliable and reduce your pressure?
Doran : Since they have reached the pinnacle before, they are not very nervous in most matches. As a teammate, I find them very reliable. Moreover, our head coach also won the World Championship during his player days. There are many World Championship winners in our team, and their presence makes me feel very reliable.
Q: When the team won the summer split finals, unlike other players who cheered loudly, Viper stood up calmly. How did you feel seeing that?
Doran : If other players did that, I would definitely think it was a persona. But when Viper did that, I felt he was genuinely happy at that moment. He knows himself best.
Q: If you win the World Championship, what do you personally want to do? What is your championship pledge?
Doran : It might be popping champagne. If we win the World Championship, I want to go on a trip and have team-building activities with my teammates.
