Data Preview: BLG has achieved five consecutive victories against WBG, with multiple players leading in head-to-head data.
Live Broadcast on August 30: The official data of League of Legends released a preview of the summer finals between WBG and BLG;
WBG has fought its way through the loser's bracket to reach the finals, facing BLG once again. The two teams have distinct styles: BLG exerts significant pressure in the early game, often gaining a considerable advantage from the laning phase and then snowballing to a quick victory. On the other hand, WBG has a relatively slower early game pace but can quickly end the game once they gain an advantage in the mid to late game.
BLG's top laner Bin has outstanding individual skills, securing the most MVPs in the top lane with six so far this summer season, along with 17 solo kills. Meanwhile, WBG's top laner Breathe has used 16 different champions this summer season, always selecting based on team needs.
Both teams' junglers are well-known veterans who joined their respective teams this season but have quickly integrated. Wei has the highest 15-minute kill participation in the entire league, showing excellent early game tempo. Tarzan, on the other hand, has an average damage taken per minute exceeding 1000, often considering the team's needs. In the playoffs, WBG's first dragon rate reached 76.5%, largely thanks to Tarzan's map control.
The mid-lane matchup is even more captivating. Xiaohu, who has reached the finals ten times, and knight, who has won three consecutive championships, will both continue to write new legends regardless of who wins. Knight shows strong performance in mid-lane laning and damage, while Xiaohu, as a veteran mid-laner, also performs well with AD mid-laners. It remains to be seen if the finals will bring more surprises.
In the bot lane, both AD carries have shown excellent survival skills, but Elk's playstyle is relatively more aggressive, with the highest average damage per minute in his position and the second highest in the entire league. Light focuses more on farming in the early game, with different playstyle emphases.
Both supports, ON and Crisp, have similar playstyles, often roaming and participating in fights early. In the playoffs, with junglers focusing more on farming, the supports often become the key to breaking the game open.
On the finals stage, will WBG succeed in their revenge, or will BLG complete their consecutive championships?
