Q: How do you feel about achieving 400 wins?
Chovy : First of all, I would like to express my gratitude. This is our first game of the summer split, and starting with a victory gives us a stable beginning for the new season.
Q: What is the reason for picking Rumble as your champion?
Chovy : Although we haven't fully mastered this version yet, based on our current analysis, we believe Rumble is the most suitable pick at the moment. This choice may be adjusted according to the situation in the future.
Q: The enemy team's Skarner seemed very intent on targeting your Tristana today. Even though there were opportunities to counter Zoe, it seemed like they specifically restricted your ace pick. You mentioned earlier that you dislike Skarner, what are your thoughts?
Chovy : Indeed, I really dislike Skarner. I have been targeted by Skarner multiple times in scrims, but no matter how many times I get targeted, it's always difficult to determine when I can survive and when I will die, so it's a very challenging situation to deal with.
Q: In the final teamfight of the first game, you became the bait and ultimately led the team to victory. At that time, our rookie player Peyz kept shouting "pentakill" and the reactions of GEN players on-site were revealed in the livestream. Can you tell us about the situation at that time?
Chovy : After I got hit by Skarner's E ability, luckily my Flash was available, so I tried to escape. However, Skarner's ultimate followed my Flash direction perfectly, and I got killed. I felt a bit helpless at that moment. I thought if I had played better, maybe there would have been a chance for me to survive, so I gave it my all. But during that time, Peyz beside me kept shouting "pentakill" non-stop. It felt like the people around me only cared about pentakills, regardless of whether I lived or died.
Q: Were there any regrets in the second game?
Chovy : I think the main regret was that the laning phase didn't go as smoothly as expected, and after we were picked off one by one, the enemy team took the Baron. At that time, the vision was very limited, and I felt that if Rell had reacted with her Q Flash, there might have been a better outcome.
Q: GEN has swept all the games again this year. How did you spend the break? Fans are curious.
Chovy : We participated in all the games and had hardly any rest time. Even during the break, we had a lot of filming schedules, so we didn't really rest much. Because we have to continuously participate in games, we need to manage our condition well to ensure we don't get too exhausted.
Q: Speaking of Chovy, you're always known for receiving a lot of advice from your mother. After winning MSI, what did she say to you?
Chovy : She said I performed incredibly well and made her proud. In reality, I usually brush off negative comments without being affected. But my parents care a lot when they see these comments, so they have suffered a lot in this regard. I feel lucky that the negative comments have decreased now.
Q: What are your goals for this year? Any messages for the fans?
Chovy : Our goal at GEN is to continue winning championships and achieve a five-peat, but our bigger goal is to contend for the world championship. To the fans who came to support us today, I want to say a big thank you for your support. We will continue to work hard and deliver better performances.
