Meepo returns to Dota 2 matchmaking following another round of critical bug fixes
Meepo has returned to Dota 2 matchmaking after approximately a day of unavailability, following fixes addressing serious problems with his clones and aghanim ’s Scepter interactions.
The restoration followed another temporary removal of the Hero amid reports of exploits involving clone states, inventory behaviour and item duplication.
Invisible-clone issue addressed
TeamToWin Spirit analyst sikle reported that developers had fixed a bug which allowed Meepo’s clones to become invisible while remaining functional.
The problem involved interactions between MegaMeepo, aghanim ’s Shard and aghanim ’s Scepter. Earlier fixes had also addressed cases in which clones disappeared or could be used to duplicate items.
These faults affected the behaviour of the Hero ’s controllable units, rather than simply producing incorrect visual effects.
Another aghanim ’s interaction reported
Meepo’s return was followed by reports of another issue involving aghanim ’s Scepter, with sikle highlighting an interaction that allowed a Meepo unit to be thrown from anywhere on the map.
The reports underline the continuing difficulty of resolving interactions between MegaMeepo, individual clones and inventory changes. Meepo is available again, but his restoration Should Not be interpreted as confirmation that every reported issue has been resolved.
