Team Lynx avenge Legion defeat to claim DreamLeague qualification
Team Lynx secured Western Europe’s remaining DreamLeague Season 30 qualification place with a 2–0 victory over Legion in the closed qualifier’s lower-bracket final.
The result reversed their earlier meeting in the tournament, when Legion had swept Lynx in the upper-bracket semifinals. This time, Lynx won the deciding encounter to join OG at the main event and end Legion ’s qualification run.
Lynx entered the rematch after surviving a three-game series against Dawn Bulls earlier in the day. They won that match 2–1, then completed the sweep of Legion without requiring another deciding game.
Their lower-bracket recovery began with a 2–0 victory over potn9ki on October 16. Across those three elimination series, Lynx compiled a 6–1 game record, recovering from the defeat that had removed them from the upper bracket.
A demanding final day
The Dawn Bulls series tested Lynx before the qualification match. Lynx took the opener, but Dawn Bulls levelled the score with a 26–12 victory in 42 minutes and 26 seconds in Game 2.
Lynx recovered to win the decider and advanced to face Legion , whose own route had changed after a 2–0 defeat to OG in the upper-bracket final.
The concluding sweep gave Lynx second place in the regional qualifier and a berth at DreamLeague Season 30. Legion finished third, having lost both of their opportunities to secure qualification.
