Save explains long-awaited switch from support to mid lane
Vitalie "Save-" Melnic has explained why he finally decided to move from support to the mid lane, saying he had wanted to play the role professionally for years.
The BetBoom Team player said he originally had two preferred positions — mid and position four — but chose support around seven years ago because he was better at the role at the time.
Save finally gets his chance in mid
Despite building his professional career as a support, Save said he always enjoyed mid lane more and had continued wanting an opportunity to try the position.
His role change now gives him that chance.
Save expects to begin with fairly standard mid heroes while occasionally experimenting with unconventional picks from his existing hero pool.
He also stressed that he does not intend to approach the role like a low-net-worth support. Save expects to farm heavily while he continues learning how he wants to play the position.
The transition is still a work in progress, with Save acknowledging that he needs more time to settle on his preferred approach in the mid lane.
