GamerLegion kept their PGL Wallachia Season 9 campaign alive with a clean 2:0 victory over 1w Team in the first round of the lower bracket.

Both teams entered the series one defeat away from elimination after losing their upper-bracket openers, but GamerLegion produced the stronger performance across the best-of-three and ended the series without dropping a map.

GamerLegion bounce back after Aurora loss

GamerLegion had been sent into the lower bracket following a 0:2 defeat against Aurora Gaming in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.

Their response against 1w was immediate, however, as Timado , RCY , Fayde , Bignum and Speeed combined to secure both maps and move into the next stage of the bracket.

The result was particularly important after GamerLegion had struggled against some of the stronger teams at the event, including earlier defeats against LGD Gaming and Aurora.
