EWC 2025 Qualifiers Postponed Due to Clash with The International 2025
The organizers of the Esports World Cup 2025 have officially rescheduled the regional qualifiers for Dota 2. The reason is a conflict with the qualifiers for The International 2025.
Previously, the schedule caused a stir in the community: teams were forced to choose between participating in the EWC and attempting to qualify for TI. Now the conflict has been resolved—the EWC qualifiers will begin after all the qualifiers for the year's main tournament have concluded.
New EWC 2025 regional dates:
Western Europe — June 5–7
North America — June 5–6
MESWA (Middle East, South Asia, and Africa) — June 8–10
Southeast Asia — June 8–10
Eastern Europe — June 11–13
South America — June 11–13
China — May 16 (unchanged)
Rescheduling the dates will give teams a chance to compete in both qualifiers and enhance the overall level of competition at the EWC. Now we just have to wait for the matches themselves—and see who will become the new participant in the prestigious tournament in Saudi Arabia .
