No[o]ne explained how Satanic managed to make its way into the Dota 2 pro scene
Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko, the midlaner from PARIVISION , explained that Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov transitioned to the professional Dota 2 scene due to his relentless MMR grinding which eventually paid off.
The Dota 2 legend said this on a twitch stream.
“So, how do you get noticed by an organization, join a team, play a ton of Dota, grind MMR, and pray you’re noticed by some bottom tier teams? That’s how they found Satanic. Why? Because he was rank 1. He was pub stomping. He was playing properly, oh, now this kid’s on fire. Players are often signed on the assumption they will be. Can he be molded? Of course. You can a lot. Two years later, boom, he’s in the best teams of the world, that’s how it goes. That’s how I was picked up too… that’s how everyone gets picked up"
No[o]ne stressed that grinding in public matches is what gets people picked up and that’s what top teams are looking for. He further explained that it is what allowed Satanic gain so much success at such a young age and being such a newcomer to the scene.
He also mentioned that if an organization has noticed a potentially great, unsigned app player, they will take him in for a scrimmage with the intent of gradually promoting him to the main team. No[o]ne added that he personally fell into the pro scene in that manner.
Earlier, No[o]ne disclosed the day he intends to step down from actively competing and move into a coaching role.
