The manager of Team Spirit criticized the new rules of Riyadh Masters 2025
While speaking during another twitch stream, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the manager of Team Spirit , voiced his discontent about the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2025 and the proposed changes, including the reduced prize pool by $2 million.
“Honestly, the format is nonsense. The prize pool is ****, but it’s disappointing that it’s smaller, it’s understandable, but overall we’ll survive – a tournament is a tournament. But the format, it's nonsense. The format is nonsense. You know the Gauntlet system, as they called it, it’s very similar to the system used in BLAST, looks just like that"
Korb3n admitted that players would be disappointed, but the bigger issue this year is the new tournament system, which he believes came from BLAST.
He didn’t specify, though, what exactly about Riyadh Masters 2025 bothers him the most. What is clear, however, is his discontent regarding the rule changes for what many consider the biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year.
Remember that the organizers made changes regarding the format of Riyadh Masters 2025 awhile back.
